Dr. Kevin Shang is the Joseph J. Ruvane, Jr. Distinguished Professor of Business Administration at the Fuqua School of Business, Duke University. He received his M.B.A. from the University of California, Riverside in 1998 and Ph.D. from University of California, Irvine in 2002. His expertise is in supply chain management and inventory control. His research mainly focuses on developing simple and effective inventory policies for supply chain systems. Prof. Shang also conducts research in the interface of operations and finance and renewable energy systems. Prof. Shangs research has appeared in several leading management journals, including Management Science, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, and Operations Research. Several of his papers received research awards from professional societies. He has served as an editorial board member for several leading academic journals.

Dr. Xiqun (Michael) Chen is Tenured Professor of Zhejiang University, Director of Institute of Intelligent Transportation Systems, Vice Dean of ZJU-UIUC Institute, and Deputy Director of Zhejiang Provincial Engineering Research Center for Intelligent Transportation. Prof. Chen’s research interests include shared mobility on demand, simulation-based optimization, transportation big data analytics, and intelligent transportation systems. He received the National Excellent Young Scholars Award of National Natural Science Foundation of China and Distinguished Young Scholars Award of Zhejiang Provincial Natural Science Foundation, and was an awardee of Young Elite Scientists Sponsorship Program by China Association for Science and Technology. Currently, he serves as the Chair of Transportation Management and Control of World Transport Convention, board member of ASCE Greater China Section, editorial board member of Transportation Research Part C. Prof. Chen has published 1 book, 3 book chapters, over 100 peer-review international journal papers on the publications, including Management Science, M&SOM, Transportation Science, and Transportation Research Part B. He received the Science and Technology Innovation Youth Award of China Communications and Transportation Association, Science and Technology Award of China Intelligent Transportation Systems Association, Best Ph.D. Dissertation Award of IEEE Intelligent Transportation Systems Society, and Best Paper Awards at six international conferences. |

Dr. Wenguang Sun is Qiushi Chair Professor and Director of the Center for Data Science at Zhejiang University (ZJU). Before coming to ZJU, he was Professor (with tenure) in the Department of Data Sciences and Operations in the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California (USC). Prof. Sun completed his Ph.D. (2003-2008) under the supervision of Prof. T. Tony Cai from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, and obtained his BS (Probability and Statistics, 1999-2003) at Peking University. Prof. Sun’s research interests include large-scale multiple testing, selective inference, empirical Bayes methods, transfer learning, fairness in machine learning, and statistical decision theory. He received many awards, including the CAREER Award from the National Science Foundation (NSF), Dean’s Award for Research Excellence and Golden Apple Teaching Award from the USC Marshall School of Business, and multiple research grants from NSF. He is the associate editor for premier statistical journals such as Journal of the Royal Statistical Society, Series B and Journal of multivariate analysis.

Dr. CHEN Zhi is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Management Sciences, College of Business, City University of Hong Kong. He obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree from Tsinghua University and a Ph.D. degree in Management from the National University of Singapore. He was a postdoctoral research associate in the Area of Analytics & Operations at the Imperial College Business School. His primary research involves developing models and designing algorithms for analytics under uncertainty with different levels of data availability as well as applications in business, economics, finance, and operations. He is also interested in how to compete and/or cooperate in joint activities such as resource allocation and risk management. He develops a package- "Robust Stochastic Optimization Made Easy" (MATLAB, Python) -for analytics under uncertainty.

Before joining Zhejiang University, he worked at Nanyang Technological University as a Research Fellow (2019.11-2021.10). His research interests are about Data-Driven Decision Making, especially for online retailing platforms and Production and Inventory Management.

He published on leading operations research and management journals such as Operations Research, Manufacturing and Service Operations Management (M&SOM), Production and Operations Management, etc., as well as healthcare journals.
