Approximately 150 alumni, their family members, friends and SOM faculty staff attended Alumni Reunion 2019 in this past weekend celebrating the 122nd Anniversary of ZJU, as well as re-connecting with classmates, networking with fellow alumni, fundraising and participating in all kinds of amazing activities.
On Friday, May 18th, the day kicked off with Garden Party to reminisce golden time as students. In the afternoon, WEI Jiang, Dean of SOM, ZHU Yuan, Senior Associate Dean of SOM, WU Weijin, Associate Dean of SOM and faculty staff attended the reunion ceremony. Dean WEI addressed in the ceremony as he said “No matter where I am, when I hear my university and my school, I will always listen to it with my sincere care.”

Alumni representatives shared their stories and appreciation to SOM. “I truly appreciate this reunion opportunity, as connection is much more important than possessing in such an informational era, SOM makes us connected again.” Said HU Honghao, 2005 Bachelor of Business Administration alumnus. He expressed that his fellows have professional quality, as well as the spirit of innovation and entrepreneurship. Some have made outstanding achievements in professional fields and others have climbed the ladder of entrepreneurship. “Focusing on our own jobs and taking care of our own family are the greatest support we can provide to the country. I’m grateful to the School and professors that provided us with the best education and let us have a profound understanding of responsibility, honor and record.” said HU.

FANG Bin, majored in Business Administration for undergraduate in 1999, also expressed his thoughts and expectations after 20 years of graduation. He said the excellent performances of his classmates in the field of business, politics, entrepreneurship and profession reflect the spirit of seeking truth and pursuing innovation. Meanwhile, Fang bin hoped all SOMers can keep the bottom line, work steadfastly and diligently, and take care of the family.

YAO Zheng, a graduate student in Business Administration in1989, used “Struggle, Independence, Vitality” as key words. He shared a special story and his thoughts on the development of SOM based on the changes of China. “Many thanks for the cultivation and the platform SOM provided for my career development.” said YAO.
