The 7th "Idea Explorer" Innovation & Entrepreneurship Global Summer Camp took place in Hangzhou from 14th June to 2nd July. Fascinating lectures were delivered by leading professors from the School of Management, Zhejiang University enabling the participants to have a clear insight into innovation and entrepreneurship in China and advanced business models.
The School is designed to offer three weeks of “full immersion” in innovation and entrepreneurship, as well as traditional Chinese culture. The program is articulated in three parts: academic lectures focusing on “Entrepreneurship in China,” Chinese language courses and cultural immersion sessions throughout the program, and company visits with entrepreneurs.
On the last day of the program, each group presented a creative business plan based on their learning and discussion. The business plan named “Smart Nanny” won the first place as “The Best Idea Explorer”, due to their unique innovation and adequate teamwork. Associate Dean ZHOU Weihua concluded the summer school. He deemed that the program successfully practiced participants’ entrepreneurial skills, helping participants to learn more about the Chinese culture, and making connections with potential business partners from all over the world.
The International Summer Camp has facilitated the understanding of innovation and entrepreneurship in China to excellent undergraduates from the globe, as well as the establishment of a platform for multi-culture communication.
