June 16^th, a mix of 41 participants from 12 countries and regions attended the opening ceremony of the 7^th "Idea Explorer" Innovation & Entrepreneurship Global Summer Camp, and were warmly welcomed by Prof. Wei Jiang, Dean of School of Management; Prof. Zhou Weihua, Associate Dean of School of Management; Dr. Liu Xia, Academic Director of the summer school and representatives from the faculty team.

Drawn from world-leading universities, the 2018 cohort is set to complete a series of academic lectures, company visits, and cultural immersion activities from June 14^th to July 2^nd. In the next three weeks, participants will explore the changes and opportunities in Hangzhou, develop an entrepreneurial mindset, and contact cutting-edges start-ups and tech giants.

Dean Wei said: “I am absolutely delighted to welcome this group of excellent and intelligent students from across the globe to the School of Management, Zhejiang University. “Zhejiang’s today is China’s tomorrow” said President Xi, so I do believe you will have a chance to peek into the future of China in Hangzhou in the program!”

After the opening ceremony, participants were given three hours to explore Zijingang Campus and complete a list of tasks, like recharging dining cards, eating at the school cafeteria, visiting the NANHUA teahouse, taking a school shuttle on campus,  etc. In the afternoon, they headed to Hangzhou Cuisine Museum, and fully tasted Hangzhou cuisine, and learned the history and tradition of Hangzhou food culture there.
