On March, 25th, 2017, the “Joint-Lab for Intelligence Transport System Big Data” is successfully inaugurated in the School of Management, Zhejiang University. The conferees are Prof. ZHOU Weihua (associate dean of School of Management, director of International Research Center for Data Analytics and Management, Zhejiang University), Prof. YANG Yi, Associate Prof. JIN Qingwei, Associate Prof. ZHANG Hongxin, and Ms. ZHANG Yunru; Company representatives Mr. LI Hongliang, Mr. XU Weiguo, Mr. MENG Hailong, Mr. JIANG Boyang (Wujiang Zhiyuan Information and Technology Development Co., Ltd.); Ms. YANG Yinjuan, Mr. LIU Kaifeng (China Transportation Data Clouder Information and Technology Co., Ltd. (Suzhou)).

Wujiang Zhiyuan Information and Technology Development Co., Ltd. is a state-owned enterprise, with 30 million registered capital. It is located in the East of China, while its business spreads across the whole nation. It has three subsidiaries and an intelligent transportation research center, which is running under the cooperation of “Suzhou Automotive Research Institute of a Tsinghua University”, that focuses on automotive electronics. This enterprise is committed to the construction of traffic information with an in-depth understanding of the traditional transportation business and a profound accumulation of knowledge in the transportation industry. As a party in charge, it takes a role in the project of “IPv6-Based Intelligent Transportation Integrated Service Platform and Application Demonstration”, which is held by The National Development and Reform Commission. In the meanwhile, it also runs other main technology projects of transportation, across the national, provincial, and municipal scope.
China Transportation Data Clouder Information and Technology Co., Ltd (Suzhou) is a high-tech company that provides data analytics services and application software development in the transportation industry. The members joined from Alibaba big data department, Baidu, Shanda, Cisco, Zhejiang University, and other famous enterprises and research institutes. It has several software copyrights and patents, and customers come from Jiangsu, Guizhou, Zhejiang, and other provinces.

The School of Management and the International Research Center for Data Analytics and Management, Zhejiang University have great advantages in big data research and educational training, while those two companies are expert in new-model smart city construction, intelligence transport, big data management and they have strong demand on big data theories and practice. Since that, these three parts established this Joint-Lab for ITS Big Data, which is attached to our Center, aiming to make good use of each other’s advantages, collaborative innovation and mutual benefits.

Hands-shaking ceremony

During the ceremony, Wujiang Zhiyuan Information and Technology Development Co., Ltd. signed Project Contract with Zhejiang University. And the tripartite agreement is also signed at the same time. In the group discussion session, Prof. ZHANG Hongxin proposed new ideas on big data with its visualized analysis outlook.
