ZJU-HKU “Entrepreneurship in China” Winter Program Successfully Held in ZJU-SOM

ZJU-HKU “Entrepreneurship in China” Winter Program was held in the School of Management, Zhejiang University from Jan 3rd to Jan 14th, 2017. Forty students from Faculty of Business and Economics, the University of Hong Kong attended the program.

Prof. ZHOU Weihua, Associate Dean of the School attended the opening session and gave a welcome speech. Later, the 40 HKU students grouped into eight, and joined in Campus Tour to explore the Zijingang Campus.

The 12-day program consisted of academic lectures, company visits, and group business projects. The students were lectured a wide range of “Entrepreneurship in China”-related topics. Also, they visited two local companies in Hangzhou, i.e. Enjoyor and The Cross-Border Electronic Commerce Area. The entrepreneurs shared their experience with the students, and provided suggestions to those students who plan to start their own business after graduation.

On the last day of the program, each group made a business proposal for a Hong Kong Company planning to expand its business in Hangzhou, China. The groups presented their analysis and business plan to the judge panel. Group 2, whose proposal was about Gaifong APP (a rental platform), won the competition.


The winter program provided the students with entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, also offered them an opportunity to learn from the real business world.
