On May 7, 2015, AACSB International officially announced that Zhejiang University School of Management has earned the accreditation of AACSB. Thus the School becomes one of a small group of business schools worldwide with Triple Accreditations.
Established in 1916, AACSB International (The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s, and doctorate degrees in business and accounting. AACSB Accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education, and has been earned by less than five percent of the world’s business programs.
The AACSB Accreditation Peer Review Team (PRT) conducted the on-site evaluation in ZJU-SOM between March 29 and April 1, 2015. The PRT held serious talks with ZJU leaders, management team, advisory committee members, alumni, employers, faculty and students. The PRT was particularly impressed by the School’s teaching and research in entrepreneurship and innovation, corporate connection and social contributions.
"It takes a great deal of self-evaluation and determination to earn AACSB Accreditation, and I commend Zhejiang University for its dedication to management education, as well as its leadership in the community," said by Robert D. Reid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB International. "Through accreditation, ZJU has not only met specific standards of excellence, but has also made a commitment to ongoing improvement to ensure that the institution will continue to deliver high quality education to its students."
