On March 24, the School of Management of Zhejiang University received the official notification from European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) that the EQUIS Awarding Body voted to award the School with a five-year EQUIS accreditation.
EQUIS (European Quality Improvement System) Accreditation is established by European Foundation for Management Development (EFMD) and is known for its comprehensiveness and rigorousness in terms of its accreditation standards. The five-year accreditation is the highest rating awarded by EQUIS, demonstrating that the School has fully met the standards of EQUIS accreditation.
The EQUIS re-accreditation Peer Review Team (PRT) visit was organized in ZJU-SOM from November 18 to 20, 2014. The PRT met and discussed with ZJU leaders, ZJU-SOM leaders, advisory committee members, alumni, employers, students and faculty. The PRT was particularly impressed by the School’s institutional status and its leading edge in the education and research of innovation and entrepreneurship.
In response to the conferment, Prof. WU Xiaobo, Dean of School of Management, commented: “We’re so happy to have the 5 year EQUIS reaccreditation for the acknowledgement of ZJU-SOM’s progressing under the quality guidance of EFMD. That’s the milestone and new starting point for the march forward of my school in the global eco-system of business education.”
