Zhejiang University School of Management and FAW-VW Audi China announced their strategic cooperation at Zhejiang University in Hangzhou on August 30, 2013. Both parties signed an agreement to launch the ZJU-SOM-Audi EMBA Program as part of a three-year plan to “facilitate the growth of emerging Zhejiang Entrepreneurs”.
The cooperation will cover several areas including developing an Audi-exclusive curriculum, developing case studies and establishing a platform for Zhejiang Entrepreneurs. Participants of ZJU-SOM-Audi EMBA program will have the priority to experience latest Audi products, visit Audi’s factory in Changchun or local dealers and even to attend executive meetings. Besides, Audi will also be the sponsor for the School’s EMBA annual celebration party, a grand reunion of EMBA family that develops and strengthens our alumni network.
The program targets specifically at the next generation Zhejiang Entrepreneurs, which is faced with imminent challenges of succession and transition. While Zheshang or Zhejiang Entrepreneurs has long been an innovating impetus of China’s economic growth, it is imperative to cultivate a new generation of future business leaders. Tapping on a world-class education system of Zhejiang University and FAW-VW Audi’s 25 years’ of expertise in globalization, the alliance is expected to bring new vitality to the private sector.
Professor LIN Jianhua, President of Zhejiang University, attended the event together with Dean WU Xiaobo, Senior Associate Dean BAO Dihong and Associate Dean WEI Longbao. He made high remarks on the cooperation: "It is an exemplar of the university-enterprise collaboration and in the future we look forward to seeing more of it."
