On May 14th, 2013, ZJU-SOM - HEC EMBA degree program officially announced their partnership with State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council (SASAC) in Beijing. The launch event was another breakthrough after it had received formal approval from the Chinese Ministry of Education in 2012.
The program is tailor-made to meet the demand of Chinese state-owned enterprises as well as private-sector companies. The objective is to expand the technical expertise and leadership skills of Chinese executives in an increasingly competitive global economy. The curriculum consists of twelve core modules, one concentration trip and one research project as the final dissertation. Prospective students are eligible to study in various locations around the world. (Building on the strengths of three stakeholders, ZJU-SOM-HEC EMBA program aims to attract executive managers from both Chinese state-owned enterprises and private companies, and provides the most competitive EMBA training to future business leaders.)
On September 12th, the School of Management and HEC Paris jointly hosted a grand opening ceremony for the 2015 EMBA Class in (Changping,) Beijing. (Enrolled students were expected to start their courses the following day.)
