An Orientation for Overseas Exchange Students was held at School of Management on September 19, 2014. 15 students from exchange partner schools in Sweden, France, Italy, and USA attended the meeting. The orientation was hosted by TONG Nian from International Affairs Office.

Ms. ZHU Jiping, Director of International Affairs Office, first delivered a welcome speech and introduced the history and development situation of ZJU-SOM as well as a dynamic business environment of Zhejiang Province. Ms. LI Xianhong, Director of Academic Affairs Office, presented the courses settings, credits, and study policies to the students. CAI Maosheng, student representative from Financial Management introduced campus facilities, activities, and student life of Zijingang Campus. All students had a heated discussion after the presentations, and exchanged WeChat IDs with each other. CHEN Xiaoluan from International Communication Center of Student Union established a WeChat group to help students’ easier communication.

The Orientation not only aimed at assisting overseas exchange students adapt to new environment in ZJU-SOM, but also focused on building friendship between exchange students and ZJU students. It is believed to be a good beginning for students to establish a network and to help each other throughout the whole semester.
