A Bright Future Ahead -- The Commencement Ceremony of the First Cohort of GEP Program Held at Babson

The commencement ceremony of the first cohort of Global Entrepreneurship Program (GEP Program) was held at Babson College on August 15, 2010.


Co-initiated by Zhejiang University, Babson College in the US, and Emlyon Business School in France, the GEP Program was launched in 2009. The first cohort of 65 students formed entrepreneurship groups supervised by prestigious faculty, investors and entrepreneurs. They started the course in Emlyon and studied there for three months, then continued their journey in ZJU-SOM, and finished the program at Babson.


At the ceremony, Professor Schlesinger, President of Babson College, greeted the audience and delivered an inspiring speech to encourage the students to stay in touch with and reward the society while pursuing a career. In addition, Professor Tadepalli, Dean of Graduate School of Babson, congratulated all the graduates. He sincerely hoped that they could become influential leaders, paying attention to issues arisen from globalization and contributing to a better world.


As co-founders of GEP Program, Professor Delmar of Emlyon, Professor WANG Zhongming of ZJU and Professor Jeannet of Babson reviewed the Program. They shared the successful experience and pointed out what remained to be improved. Student representatives of three schools made wonderful speeches, which marked the highlight of the ceremony.


Professor Schlesinger and Professor Tadepalli awarded degree certificates to students. 6 GEP students, including Liu Chunli, Brain, Adam, moreover, were rewarded with Special Services to the Program.
