School of Management Zhejiang University becomes the first business school in Mainland China to earn AMBA (Association of MBAs) accreditation. This marks a milestone in the journey to become a leading business school and a pioneer in business education. Achieving AMBA will enhance international competitiveness of MBA program in ZJU-SOM, thus establish a quality assurance system in MBA education.
On December 16 and 17, the School underwent a comprehensive assessment of its teaching and learning, research, faculty, and student development. The assessment panel of AMBA consists of Robert Owen, Director of AMBA, and three Deans from business schools in Britain, New Zealand and Hong Kong.
The assessment panel held meetings, interviews and open discussions with the Dean, the School’s management team, faculty, students, alumni, and staff. As a result, the panel was greatly impressed by the School’s innovation in MBA program and teaching.
After the accreditation process in business school criteria, faculty, students, purpose & outcomes, curriculum, and mode & duration, the panel announced the MBA/EMBA Program was accredited and reported to AMBA for approval.
