Seminars topic:  

(1) Identifying Issues in Empirical Research
This lecture will review classic and contemporary literature to help participants understand the latest research developments and trends in the field of operations and supply chain management. Particular attention will be paid to emerging directions under digital and intelligent transformation, including global supply chain restructuring, intelligent operations and decision-making. The session aims to foster innovative thinking, value-based application, and social impact dimensions to help researchers establish robust theoretical frameworks for identifying key research questions.
(2) Data Resources in Operations Management
This session introduces authoritative international data sources commonly used in operations management research. It will focus on financial market data, firm-level transaction data, supply chain network structure data, as well as ESG indicators, high-frequency data, and satellite imagery, emphasizing their innovative use in empirical operations research.

Scholars Background:  Professor WU Yixin is a tenured professor and doctoral advisor at The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) Business School, and the Associate Director of the Asian Institute of Supply Chains & Logistics at CUHK. He is also a principal investigator for multiple analytics-related projects, including service analytics and business analytics. He holds a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from the University of Southern California and an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. His research interests include global supply chain risk, corporate operations and finance, business analytics, and human resource management. His work has been published in top-tier journals such as M&SOM, Information Systems Research, and Management Science.
