Seminars topic: With the ongoing integration of culture and tourism, cultural digitalization plays a vital role in innovating development paths. This lecture will explore the practical application and prospects of cultural digitalization from multiple perspectives including project development, platform construction, and system planning, showcasing how digital transformation can enhance cultural and tourism integration.
Scholars Background: XIN Hongye, former Deputy Director of the Information Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism and Professor-level Senior Engineer. He holds a master’s and PhD in computer software and computer science. He has held positions including Director of the National Tourism Information Center and Deputy Director of the Information Center of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. He led the formulation of multiple national and regional tourism information development plans, and oversaw the design and development of key systems including the National Holiday Tourism Reporting System, the China Tourism Destination Marketing System, and the 12301 National Tourism Complaint System. He also built industry monitoring and response platforms and comprehensive business management systems. XIN has received numerous ministerial-level engineering awards and the Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award. He has led national-level major projects, key national science and technology plans, and National Natural Science Foundation projects. He participated in the drafting of national standards such as the Technical Specifications for Smart Tourism. During the 11th, 12th, 13th, and 14th Five-Year Plans, he served as an expert for multiple national key projects, and held various roles such as technical center leader, government advisor, and professor in multiple universities.
