Seminars topic: How to frame a manuscript effectively is one of the key challenges in publishing in top journals. In this seminar, Professor CUI will analyze his SMJ article to share the logic, tacit knowledge, and practical templates behind successful top journal framing.
Scholars Background: Victor CUI (崔鸿) is a research professor at the University of Alberta’s Conrad School of Business and a Ph.D. graduate from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business and Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. His research focuses on strategic management, innovation, and the global protection of intellectual property. He has published in top-tier journals including SMJ and JIBS. In 2023, Professor CUI received a continuous research funding award from Canada’s Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, where he serves as an expert reviewer. He also supports Canada’s federal government in pandemic and post-pandemic recovery policies. Professor CUI is a senior editor or editorial board member of journals such as International Business Review, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, and Organization Science. His work is widely cited in both academic publications and mainstream media including Fortune and CBC.
