Scholars Background: ZENG Xiaoling is a professor and founding director of the Accounting Department at the School of Business, Southern University of Science and Technology, he is a doctoral supervisor and a "Changjiang Chair" scholar recognized by the Chinese Ministry of Education. Prof. ZENG is also an expert within the National Major Talent Project. As a pioneer in CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) accounting research, he explores the connection between corporate social responsibility and the capital market. He has published over 140 papers in top-tier journals, including UTD24 and FT50, garnering over 12000 citations and ranking in the top 1% of scholars globally. His influential works have set records for Chinese scholars being accepted into prestigious international journals. Previously, he served as a Chair Professor at York University in Canada and held tenured positions at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. Additionally, he has been involved as an editor, deputy editor, and editorial board member for numerous international journals and is recognized as one of the few Chinese accounting scholars to achieve prominence on the global academic stage.
