Workshop’s Topic: This presentation examines the multifaceted impact of recommender systems on content consumption and production. By combining field experiments with structural modeling, it reveals how algorithmic recommendations drive changes in user behavior, thereby optimizing the balance of supply and demand on content platforms. This research provides both theoretical insights and empirical support for improving user engagement and output efficiency on content platforms.
