Speaker’s Introduction: Yu Yitong, PhD, Assistant Professor, currently works at the School of Hotel and Tourism Management, Hong Kong Polytechnic University. She graduated from the School of Management, Zhejiang University in 2017 with a Bachelors degree in Management and received her PhD in Hospitality Management from the University of Surrey, UK in 2021. Her research interests focus on the dark side of leadership and employee health in the hospitality and tourism industry. Her current research focuses on how human employees can reasonably collaborate with robots in the service industry, as well as new working models for service industry employees. Dr. Yu has received a number of internal and external research grants funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and Zhejiang University-PolyU Joint Center (U-PolyU Joint Center). She has published many scientific findings in top international tourism and hospitality journals such as Tourism Management and International Journal of Contemporary Hospitality Management.
