Workshop’s Topic: This study integrates resource dependence theory and stakeholder theory to explore firms’ rhetorical strategies in response to Anti-SLAPP legislation. Firms adjust their rhetoric based on their stakeholder dependencies (ego or alter) to address legislative changes, adopting avoidance, countervailing, or absorption strategies to mitigate pressure.
