Dr. Jiawei Zhang

Leonard N. Stern School of Business / New York University


 

Dr. Jiawei Zhang is the Michael Armellino Professor of Business and Professor of Information, Operations and Management Sciences at New York Universitys Leonard N. Stern School of Business. His recent work focuses on online stochastic optimization and online learning with applications in revenue management and supply chain management.



Vineet Goyal

Industrial Engineering and Operations Research Department, Columbia University


 

Vineet Goyal is Associate Professor in the Industrial Engineering and Operations Research department at Columbia University. He received his PhD in Algorithms, Combinatorics and Optimization (ACO) in 2008 from Tepper School of Business, CMU where his advisor was R. Ravi. Before joining Columbia, he spent a couple of years as a postdoctoral associate at the Operations Research Center, MIT working with Dimitris Bertsimas.

His research interests include dynamic optimization and decision making under uncertainty. He is interested in the design of tractable approaches for dynamic optimization problems under uncertainty and their applications in electricity markets and revenue management problems.



Arnoud V. den Boer

Kortweg-de Vries Institute for Mathematics / Amsterdam Business School, University of Amsterdam


 

After obtaining a mathematics degree at Utrecht University (2006) and a post-master degree Mathematics for Industry at Eindhoven University of Technology (2008), Arnoud wrote his PhD thesis `Dynamic Pricing and Learning (2013) at the CWI Centrum for Wiskunde and Computer Science, under the supervision of Bert Zwart and Rob van der Mei. He joined the Kortweg-de Vries Institute for Mathematics of the University of Amsterdam in 2016 where he is Associate Professor and is also affiliated to the Amsterdam Business School. Arnouds research focuses on the interface of learning and optimization, with applications in dynamic pricing and revenue management. He is the recipient of several awards and grants, including the 2015 Gijs de Leve prize for best PhD Thesis in operations research defended in the Netherlands in the period 2012-2014, personal grants from the Dutch Science Foundation, and the INFORMS Revenue Management & Pricing Section Prize in 2016. Arnoud organized the 2017 INFORMS Revenue Management and Pricing Section conference, and serves as editor for Management Science, M&SOM, and POMS.


Qingwei Jin

Dr. Qingwei Jin is an associate professor on Operations Management at School of Management, Zhejiang University. His recent research focuses on data-driven revenue management such as online learning and pricing, robust pricing and assortment planning, omnichannel pricing and assortment planning, assortment planning based on customer behaviors like making choice, searching, anticipating regret etc. He is the principal investigator of three NSFC projects and has published several papers in SIAM Journal on Optimization, Production and Operations Management, INFORMS Journal on Computing and so on. His study has been implemented in several retailing companies which helps to generate millions RMB in GMV.
