Organized by ZJU’s School of Management, forty aspiring undergraduates from the Faculty of Business and Economics (FBE) of Hong Kong University participated in the ZJU-HKU “Entrepreneurship China” Winter Program. The two-week program aims to cultivate participants with a spirit of entrepreneurship and a passion for traditional Chinese culture.
“Hangzhou is an ancient city with a history of over 2000 years. Meanwhile, it is a vibrant city as the capital of China’s E-commerce.”, said Prof. ZHOU Weihua, associate dean of ZJU’s School of Management, at the opening ceremony. ”The development of Hangzhou is closely related to people’s entrepreneurial and innovative spirit.”
During the two-week time, students were not only given academic lectures covering from entrepreneurship, business models, consumer behavior to China’s Internet innovation, but also encouraged to learn from real business settings through company visits to Geely and the Dream Town, and networking with entrepreneurs and teamwork on their business initiative.
On the last day of the program, each group presented its own business plan. A business project about an APP designed for young people’s marriage market won first place.
