AACSB Annual Accreditation Conference: Asia Pacific is a unique opportunity to get a full understanding of the AACSB Accreditation Standards, while gaining insights into the latest trends in Asia Pacific and global accreditation. It also provides networking and interacting opportunities not only with peers, but also with experienced accreditation volunteers, accreditation staff from AACSB, and professionals from around the world. The major topics of this year’s conference are: Balancing the Internationalization of Asia Pacific Business Schools with Region Specific Needs; Curriculum Management and Assurance of Learning; Cultivating an Atmosphere of Ethics and Social Responsibility; and a review of AACSB 2013 Standards.

During the meeting, Dean WU Xiaobo attended the “AACSB Volunteer Training” session and exchanged ideas and best practices with Deans from other business schools. Dean WU Xiaobo and Associate Dean ZHOU Weihua discussed cooperation potentials with Prof. Gerard George, the Dean of Lee Kong Chian School of Business, Singapore Management University.

On May 26th, Associate Dean ZHOU Weihua offered a talk in the plenary session “Making an Impact: Intellectual Contributions and Alignment with Mission”, which discussed producing high-quality intellectual contributions that impact the theory and practice of management education.

In addition, “AACSB Continuous Improvement Review Seminar” was held on May 24th, during which JIN Jun, GAO Chen, and QIU Yuan attended and studied the AACSB 2013 standards in order to get a full preparation for our school’s next round of AACSB accreditation.
