The closing ceremony of IPHD2014 Summer School was held on July 16 at the International Conference Center on Zijingang campus. WU Dong chaired the closing ceremony.

Before the ceremony, a VCR was shown with photo clips of three days activities. All the summer school participants reviewed what they did – the reception day, warm-up dinner, academic lectures and interaction with professors. The participants develop a deeper understanding of being a PhD student.

Three student representatives made short speeches respectively. The student from the group of Management Science and Engineering made a movie clip, which recorded their impression of this summer school and their best wishes to other students. ZUO Yuhan from the group of Business Administration made a short speech, and she wanted to talk to her new friends next year as a PhD student. Lastly, two students from the group of Agricultural Economics and Management expressed their understanding of being a PhD student. This was career planning and needed careful consideration. After the speeches, every summer school participant was awarded a certificate. Then the Academic Affairs Office hosted the Q&A session.
