Prof. WEI also believed that being a PhD candidate is a kind of self-cultivation. Doing research needs to observe (observation), to be insightful (insight), so that good research can continue to emerge (emergence). Professor WEI hoped that the future doctoral students could have a good attitude and a global perspective, since research should be done in an international context; and students could learn to be self-motivated, to enjoy the pleasure of research, and to enrich their life.
