On October 22nd, Prof. Phillip Dolan, Dean of Business School from the University of Western Australia visited ZJU-SOM for the first time together with Assoc/Prof. Nick Letch, Director of Undergraduate Program and Ms. Chris Hughes from Office of Pro-Vice Chancellor. Ms. LI Xianhong, Director of Academic Affairs Office and Ms. ZHU Jiping, Director of International Affairs Office from ZJU-SOM and Associate Dean Prof. YANG Liuyong, Assoc/Prof. YANG Xiaolan from School of Economics joined the meeting.

Ms. ZHU Jiping and Assoc/Prof. YANG Xiaolan introduced their school respectively. Prof. Dolan also showcased basic information on University of Western Australia, the Business School and Perth. The University is located in the State of Western Australia, which is in the same time zone as China and owns plenty of natural resources which account for a large part of its economy. UWA business school has world-class facilities, faculty and long lasting corporate connections. It has been awarded with EQUIS and AACSB accreditation.

Prof. Dolan expressed intention to collaborate in several areas, which includes research and teaching in entrepreneurship and research in Chinese economy. They also showed interests in the School’s "Entrepreneurship in China” International Summer School.

The two sides agreed to sign a Memorandum of Understanding based on their discussion.
