Extracted from Scopus, the world’s largest abstract and citation database for peer-reviews reviewed literature, Elsevier released the top 25 Most Cited Journal of Operations Management (JOM) Articles published since 2008. Until the end of October, 2013, Prof. HUO Baofeng’s paper in 2010 “The impact of supply chain integration on performance: A contingency and configuration approach” topped the chart with an impressive 22 cites based on the citation statistics of Google Scholar and 90 SCI/SSCI cites. The paper was co-authored by Prof. HUO from ZJU-SOM, Prof. ZHAO Xiande from The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and Prof. Barbara B. Flynn from Indiana University. Their study extended the developing body of literature on supply chain integration (SCI) by examining the relationship between three dimensions of SCI, operational and business performance, from both a contingency and a configuration perspective, which later inspired other studies with similar methodologies.
Professor HUO and his co-workers authors also appeared at No.4 with “The impact of power and relationship commitment on the integration between manufacturers and customers in a supply chain”, published earlier in 2008. The paper received 210 cites from Google Scholar and 73 cites from SSCI/SCI. And it was one of the earliest studies on the impact of power and relationship commitment on SCI.
Professor HUO is a Professor in Supply Chain Management, a Leading Expert in Liberal Arts in Zhejiang University, and the Director of Institute of Supply Chain Management of School of Management. Since 2008, he has published three academic articles on Journal of Operations Management (JOM).
