From May 26 to June 2, Prof. George Edward Stevens, life-time honorary Dean of Kent State University business school (USA) and assigned AACSB Accreditation Mentor visited School of Management Zhejiang University.
It was the Mentors first visit to our school, and the purpose was to work with the school to determine its current alignment with AACSB accreditation standards and to assist with the development of a Standards Alignment Plan.

During the visit, Prof. Stevens was received by Vice President WU Ping and President Assistant FAN Jieping, who gave a detailed introduction of Zhejiang University and showed their fully support for the school’s Accreditation work. Prof. Stevens also held talks with SOM management staff and Academician XU Qingrui. Office of Academic Education, Office of MBA Program, Office of EMBA Program introduced their respective work in detail. Besides, Prof. Stevens visited Xizi Group and Metersbonwe. After tight schedule of talks and discussions, Prof. Stevens gave a very positive evaluation to our school, but he also pointed out the ratio of academic teachers in some discipline is inadequate, academic quality assurance system should be perfected as well.
During this visit, not only school management staff and functional departments, but also teachers and students have paid great attention and put lots of efforts in the accreditation work.
