Seminars topic: With the rapid advancement of artificial intelligence technologies, humanity is transitioning from traditional AI to spatial intelligence, marking a new era. This seminar will review the development trajectory of AI from image recognition (AI 1.0) to large models (AI 2.0), and further explore the creative integration of spatial intelligence (AI 3.0) with industry practices. Spatial intelligence connects perception, computing, and digital twin technologies to facilitate real-world interaction through robotics, industrial and urban governance, and public service innovation. This session will present the latest achievements from 8维通科技有限公司 (8Dimension Tech), highlight the synergy between spatial intelligence and economic innovation, and explore the challenges and opportunities emerging in this field. Together with the speakers, we will reflect on how spatial intelligence can become a driving force for future economic strategies and technological breakthroughs.
Scholars Background: YANG Hongxu is Chairman of 8Dimension Tech. He holds a Ph.D. from Zhejiang University and completed postdoctoral work at Tongji University. He is a specially appointed professor at Jilin University and an adjunct professor at Zhejiang University. He has extensive research experience in computer vision, digital twins, intelligent systems, and urban computing. He has been recognized with multiple scientific and technological awards, including the First Prize in Zhejiang Province’s Scientific and Technological Progress Award and was named a “Leading Innovation and Entrepreneurship Talent” in Hangzhou.
ZHENG Hang is Chief Digital Officer at 8Dimension Tech. He holds a Master’s in EPCC from Delft University of Technology and is a senior engineer in image engineering. He leads the company’s central digital platform and focuses on intelligent construction, BIM applications, and spatial computing. He has published widely in top journals and received multiple national innovation awards. His expertise bridges technical research and enterprise practice in the areas of smart cities, AI integration, and system engineering.
