On June 5, 2025, the School of Management at Zhejiang University (ZJUSOM) officially inaugurated the Zhejiang University – McGill University Global EMBA Program. The launch ceremony was held in Hangzhou, School of Management, gathering university leadership, faculty members, industry partners, and students both onsite and online.

This initiative marks a significant step forward in international education and executive development. Built on the strong foundation of academic excellence at both School of Management at Zhejiang University and McGill University – Desautels Faculty of Management – the program aims to equip global executives with the skills and vision required to navigate today’s complex and interconnected business environment.

During the launch, leaders from both institutions expressed their shared commitment to the success of the Global EMBA Program and to furthering cross-border collaboration in higher education.

Yolande E. Chan, Dean of Desautels Faculty of Management, delivered encouraging remarks, highlighting the mutual vision behind this partnership.

Prof. XIE Xiao-Yun, Dean of ZJUSOM, opened the event by emphasizing the importance of global partnerships and the school’s long-term commitment to international talent development.

Ms. Jennie CHEN, Consul General of Canada in Shanghai, offered warm congratulations and expressed her confidence in the program as a new bridge between Canadian and Chinese academic and business communities. 

Participants were also introduced to the program’s inaugural cohort – a group of professionals prepared to engage deeply in leadership development and global business practice.
