The digital economy is in its early stages, and the theoretical foundations of digital management are still taking shape. To contribute to the global forward-looking digital-intelligent (digint) management discipline and add another fresh perspective to the industry, Zhejiang University and Springer publisher have established a collaboration which resulted in a new Academic Journal.
The Journal of Digital Management (JDM) is positioned as a high-level, English-language academic journal focused on the study of digital management. Established in 2024, its first issue is now officially available online!

Its mission is to address critical topics, including digital transformation, digital manufacturing, platform governance, and the digital economy. Currently, JDM‘s editorial board includes 23 members, 18 of whom are based internationally. Notable scholars include CHEN Yupeng (Tsinghua University), ZHANG Zhixue (Peking University), HUANG Lihua (Fudan University), YE Qiang (University of Science and Technology of China), and YANG Yi (Zhejiang University), along with academics from leading institutions in the UK, the USA, Canada, Singapore, France, Japan, and other countries. To further expand its global impact, JDM is actively building its editorial team and has already received commitments from nearly 30 additional editors affiliated with top international journals.
The editorial office is led by Associate Professor QU Wenguang from the Department of Data Science and Management Engineering at Zhejiang University, with WANG Jingchun from the School of Management as the managing editor. All administrative editors hold master‘s degrees or above from internationally recognized institutions and are well-versed in academic publishing and manuscript handling. A comprehensive editorial workflow has been established to ensure efficient peer review and the publication of high-quality content.

Emphasizing interdisciplinary, original research, JDM has already received strong support from senior scholars in the management field, including members of the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
