Workshop’s Topic: Motivated by a real-world cold chain logistics dataset, we introduce the Courier Assigned Location Mismatch (CALM) metric that captures the couriers’ unfamiliarity with delivery locations. Our novel Service Oriented Considerate Routing (SOCR) model incorporates the CALM metric to assign routes within familiar territories, effectively improving punctuality. We demonstrate how the SOCR model is inherently connected with a robust satisficing approach, thus ensures timely deliveries by mitigating predictive inaccuracies and model misspecifications.
