Workshop’s Topic: The family is the most important, but still under-researched dimension in family business research. Following recent calls in Entrepreneurship-as-Practice, we bring a practice-oriented approach to family business research to understand the next generations engagement in family life over extended periods of time. Using the three published cookbooks of a culinary family business, which we refer to as "discursive artifacts," we explore how everyday practices in family businesses can empower the next generations to become successors.
