On the 25th CEEMAN Annual Conference taking place in Hangzhou during September 20-22, 2017, CEEMAN officially announced that the School of Management Zhejiang University has been awarded International Quality Accreditation (IQA) for a duration of six years and has become part of CEEMAN IQA community. This is the 5th leading accreditation the School has achieved after obtaining all three symbols of excellence from the world’s renowned accreditation bodies (AACSB, EQUIS, AMBA) as well as the nation’s most authoritative accreditation-CAMEA by the Ministry of Education of China.
CEEMAN IQA Accreditation aims to enhance management education through its unique accreditation process which emphasizes both internationally recognized quality standards and the relevance of an institution’s activities in responding to meeting the development needs of its customers and markets.
The CEEMAN IQA Accreditation Peer Review Team (PRT) conducted an online site visit to the School on September 11, 2017, and held separate talks with the School’s management team, program directors, faculty, staff members, students, alumni, and representatives of the business community. The PRT was impressed with the School’s commitment to offering high-quality educational programs, especially its taking market relevance as a priority from the very beginning of the program design process through to the implementation and continuous improvement.
“With a clear and far-reaching vision, you have developed a noble mission of preparing professional, confident, and ethical leaders, capable of competing successfully in the international marketplace. In such a way you really play a pioneering role in introducing and spreading out the idea of excellent, relevant, and sustainable management education in China,” said Danica Purg, CEEMAN president.
The School of Management, Zhejiang University has always been fostering responsible practices and stakeholder involvement and takes CEEMAN IQA accreditation as a quality-enhancing process provoking positive changes for the School’s future developments. Achieving CEEMAN IQA accreditation is also an important step for the School to facilitate its cooperation with business schools from the “Belt and Road” countries.
