From February 21 to 24, 2013, AMBAssadors LIN Weijie and WANG Yiqing of Zhejiang University attended the Global Leadership Conference held at the University of Stellenbosch Business School in Cape Town, South Africa.

The theme of the conference is “responsible and sustainable leadership.” The conference gathered 30 global AMBAssadors from across the world. The Global Leadership Conference included presentations from inspirational guest speakers. Scholars, social entrepreneurs, directors and managers, and researchers had group discussions and debates on what leadership is, how to enhance the AMBAssadors program, and how to make a change in the business environment.

As LIN Weijie said in his presentation, back in 2012, the School of Management Zhejiang University (China) and Curtin Business School (Australia) hosted a cocktail party in Shanghai, strengthening the alumni network of accredited MBA schools worldwide. The event was spoken highly of by Vanessa Harwood, Chief Operating Officer.

On the last day of the conference, the Global AMBAssadors set up a plan to improve the Global AMBAssadors Plan for the coming year. Together the Global AMBAssadors will keep improving the platform for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and engagement with MBAs, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and innovators across the world. Events are going to be held including inter-school activities, network conferences, and so on.

The Global AMBAssadors Program is a program for AMBA accredited schools and will continue to improve the engagement with alumni and MBA seekers worldwide to create a worldwide alumni network.
