Students from Maryland University are divided into groups of three to five to compete with teams from other universities in Guanghua School of Management, Peking University. This year, 21 teams from five universities, namely Smith School of Business, the University of Maryland (7 teams), The Israel Institute of Technology (2 teams), Guanghua School of Management, Peking University, Tianjin University, and ZJU-SOM participated in the competition. Six teams reached the finals. Our four teams demonstrated esprit de corps and the typical morale of ZJU-SOM, spoken highly by the judges.
Our School encourages students to participate in this kind of international business competitions in order to broaden their global perspectives and to communicate with students from other business schools. The School gave much support to participant teams, and teachers offered them a lot of instructions during the 2-month preparation for the competition. Although it is the first time our students have participated in this competition, it marks a good beginning for our School and our students to achieve international competitiveness.
