In 2016, IRCDAM was established to address
the emerging field of big data research. It serves as a cross-disciplinary platform
that integrates scholars and professionals from management science and
engineering, computer science and technology, control
science and engineering, and medical sciences.
IRCDAM has established seven research institutes that focus on data analytics and management from various
perspectives that promote cross-disciplinary research. In
addition, it has developed a
collaboration network composed of like-minded researchers hailing from global institutions such as Stanford University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the University of Toronto.
